Mini Scenes of Birds and Typewriter Forests

ACEO paintings are completely consuming me at the moment. I'm having a blast painting small little scenes in-between the larger pieces I've been working on.There's something scarily daunting about an 11x14" blank surface to fill, and yet something so wonderfully comforting about painting on a 2.5x3.5" blank piece of illustration board...

These two shall be matted and framed for the upcoming show (just 2.5 weeks away now...ugh) along with 3-4 others. Depending, of course, on how ambitious I get. I really should be focusing on the larger paintings right now.

I also tried out the show tent today! First time putting it up with the gracious help of a friend. Wow. You really *do* need at least 2 people to set those things up. They're far more complicated than I had originally thought. Looks great, though!

Okay. I need an ice tea, stat. It's far too hot for little me. Can I pour you one as well? Sweetened, or unsweetened?

Unsweetened, and can you just stash these little wonders aside so that no one buys them and then you can list them in your Etsy shop for those of us not able to attend your show? Thank you in advance for complying. ;)

Actually, looks like you will sell the whole tent based on these two. They are fantabulous.

Unsweetened too ! Something tells me I'm gonna loooove these ACEOs. But I hate these art shows-mainly because they are not happening in Lille, France, and thus I can't attend them. So yes, please please do keep a few of these for your etsy ! Helene

Thank you for the sweet comments, ladies! I'm definitely readying some mini ACEO paintings (and some charming little brooches) for the etsy shop as well. I wish I could fly all you dears out here to visit me at the show! :)

hehe... on artist wages? :)

these are so cute! I really like how the typewriter turned out. Very cute.... Keith likes the party hats. hehe!!

Sweetened with a little honey and a dollop of milk. :)

(the above tea comment is for hot tea - Iced tea shouldn't ever be paired with milk OR honey. ew.)

I am in love with your ACEOS, especially that second one. I can't tell you how much I'm wishing that I could be the one to snatch it up. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll have some similar ones available in your shop soon!

Just a tiny little aside - am intrigued by your usage of the word stat. I thought it was prevalent only in hospitals and such, by folks who are used to ordering or giving medications stat. How did you come by it?
